A million ways to offer a hand,
A million lines I cannot say,
A place from which I will not stray.

You're a million leaves that fall to the ground,
A million songs with incomparable sound,
A million lies to find a truth,
A love of which I have no proof.

You're a million treasures yet to be found,
A million hands that wish to be bound,
A million smiles to relieve a frown,
A wish to escape this small town.

You're a million secrets that wait to be told,
A million whispers with the need to be bold,
A million journeys that have no end,
A way to change to lover from friend.

You're deeper than you think you are
Your way with words will get you far
I've seen you letting down your guard
While on the outside you stay hard

Misleading front, I know your game
I've seen it happen, we're all the same
Your talent, your smile, your cheeky charm
The way your music makes us crazy calm

I've seen a side, I hope, is true
You understand I'm here for you
When friendly banter is what you need
I'm there for you at lightning speed.

You And Me.

The smoke it lingers,
As the cigarette catches,
Run out of the house,
Leave the doors on their latches.

This love is on fire,
Your burning desire,
You're not willing to show,
So you slowly let go.

She wasn't your first,
She won't be your last,
The flames burnt out,
You loved her too fast.

I'm writing the words that you'll never see,
I wish you'd understand just how it could be,
A story with no misery,
A future where it's you and me.

Our Last Day.

I had a dream,
Of our last day,
I felt my troubles melt away.

We ran and jumped and danced and sung,
Relived the memories of being young,
We lay together beneath the stars,
With closing eyes, the world was ours.

The music played, the movie song,
The feeling we had, could never be wrong,
You held me close and whispered slow,
I love you now, I love you so.

It's more than fate, that brought us together,
But in real life, I know you sever,
The ties we made, there are none now,
You left me here I don't know how.

One day I hope this dream comes true,
And once again I'll be with you,
I hope this day is not our last,
This dream we shared is gone too fast.

Let Me In.

I really wish you'd let me in,
Underneath your bruising skin,
The one I used to know,
Before your demons took control.

Your touch is warm,
Your hands are cold,
There's something deep,
It has a hold.

I know you now,
I knew you then,
But something's different,
Somewhere deep within.

Your soul is bright,
A beaming light,
In need of exposure,
You're drowning but you keep your composure.

You're no angel,
You succumb to sin,
And where we end,
I hope you begin.

I want to see you spread your wings,
And open up to different things,
Just take it slow and one day soon,
Maybe you will Let Me In.
